Nutritional therapy services

How can I support you in your health revolution?

Explore my Nutritional Therapy services below.

Psoriasis

Has psoriasis overtaken your life? Maybe you only wear loose-fitting clothes, avoid social gatherings, or cover your scalp in public. These common coping mechanisms can hold you back. If you’ve tried topical treatments, light therapy, and giving up alcohol, you know it’s not enough. Recent studies show that diet and physical activity can impact psoriasis. .

I can help you:

  • Reduce the severity of plaques, redness, and dry skin

  • Ease skin itching and soreness

  • Relieve nail and scalp psoriasis symptoms

  • Be more confident in your skin’s appearance

  • Find joint relief from psoriatic arthritis

  • Alleviate skin pain from exercising

Whether you suffer from plaque psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, or psoriatic arthritis, I will support you on your journey to feeling better so you can go back to living a bigger life.

Together, we will work to identify your unique triggers - such as some food groups and stress - so you can gain control of your skin health. We might also uncover and resolve underlying issues - like insufficiencies or gut infections - that contribute to your psoriasis.

If you follow my recommendations long-term, you’re also less likely to develop:

  • Psoriatic arthritis

  • Cardiovascular and metabolic health issues

  • Anxiety and depression

Unfortunately, these are all linked to chronic psoriasis. So, while it’s important you practise self-love and accept the appearance of your skin, learning to manage your psoriasis has many short and long-term health benefits.

Digestive issues

Do you struggle with constipation, reflux, bloating, heartburn, or diarrhoea These aren’t simple annoyances. An upset gut impacts your overall health. Because 70% of the immune system resides in it, your body can’t fight infection properly, leaving you vulnerable. What’s more, the gut is connected to our central nervous system, so digestive issues can affect your mood and mental well-being, too. For these reasons, healing the gut is at the core of Nutritional Therapy.

I can help you:

  • Reduce bloating

  • Resolve diarrhoea and constipation

  • Improve heartburn, GERD, and acid reflux

  • Manage IBS and SIBO

  • Improve your digestion and heal your gut

  • Eliminate painful digestive symptoms

I have supported many people in resetting their digestive systems. Once the symptoms cleared, I witnessed their improved energy levels, better mood, and more robust immune system.

People with psoriasis and digestive symptoms also see improvements in their plaques and redness because of the gut-skin axis - the gut microbiome plays a key role in modulating skin disorders.

We will use tools like digestive function testing and elimination diets to identify the root cause(s) of your issues. This will allow us to design the diet and lifestyle that best supports your gut health.

Stress

Stress is closely linked to psoriasis and digestive issues.  If you often struggle to sleep well, feel overwhelmed and anxious, and find it hard to concentrate, stress might contribute to your flare-ups and symptoms.

When our brain perceives a situation as stressful, it has a fight-or-flight response - it prepares our body to stay and fight or run and flee by increasing our heart rate and sending more blood flow to our muscles.

If you regularly experience a fight-or-flight response, your body doesn’t have enough time to recover and lives in a constant state of physiological arousal. That’s when digestive and psoriasis symptoms can flare up.

Chronic low-level stress can have severe consequences on overall health. We can develop anxiety disorders, high blood pressure, metabolic syndrome, and other diseases.

I  can help you:

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Eliminate irritability

  • Sleep better

  • Fell more energetic

  • Find focus

  • Improve your mood… and much more

We will work together to find ways to help you manage and, if possible, reduce stress. We will experiment with new foods, mindful eating practices that help relieve stress, breathwork exercises shown to reduce anxiety, and other science-based strategies.

Other health issues? I can help you with much more, as nutrition is the cornerstone of good health. What we eat, how we sleep, our environment, and how we process our emotions tremendously impact our health and wellbeing. Whatever symptoms you’re struggling with, Nutritional Therapy can help. Get in touch to find out if we’re a good fit. If I don’t feel I’m the best person to help you, I will recommend a fellow practitioner.

Invest in your quality of life. It’s priceless.

Do you need more information?

  • First, we will have a relaxed 90-minute chat to discuss your symptoms, health history, and current lifestyle. I will listen with compassion to thoroughly understand your situation; there will be no judgment.

We will develop a plan together. We will then have monthly follow-ups to see how you feel, review your progress, and decide if we need to make any changes to your plan or health goals.

  • It depends on your situation - some health issues improve in weeks, while others can take months.

You won’t have to rely on me forever, though. I’m committed to giving you the tools and knowledge to achieve and maintain your goals. And if you need extra help, I offer maintenance support.

  • I’m in the process of setting these up.

I’d love to help clients with similar goals find a support network. I plan to provide group consultations using Google Meet or Zoom video calls, Whatsapp groups, and resource sharing.

  • We will set manageable goals based on your lifestyle, preferences, schedule, and budget. Then, we will work on your mindset to tackle limiting beliefs and barriers to success. Finally, I will give you practical advice, like shopping guidance, store cupboard audits, and meal ideas.

If something doesn’t work, we will investigate why and try a new approach. As your coach, I will offer encouragement, praise, and celebration throughout your journey.

  • I won’t ever pressure you to do anything you don’t want to. We will be partners on your health journey, working together to find realistic ways to adapt my recommendations to your lifestyle.

  • Possibly, but I have a food-first philosophy.

Food contains vitamins, minerals, fibre, and health-promoting nutrients called phytochemicals. These are as important as the nutrients in supplements because they improve our immune defences and digestive health. So, I will encourage you to introduce new foods before considering supplements.

  • Tests are not always necessary. However, if needed, I partner with many labs to offer stool, saliva, urine, blood (spot or draw), and DNA swab tests at home. I’m registered with Invivo, Healthpath Pro, Lifecode GX, Genova, and Regenerus. Where possible, I recommend GP tests to minimise costs.

  • “I struggled with IBS for years but after a bout of food poisoning it became even worse. The gentle dietary adjustments Kirsty recommended brought improvements I never thought possible. She made everything so clear and easy to understand and follow, and the check-ins really helped me feel supported. I can’t thank her enough; I only wish I had found her sooner.”

    PATRICIA, 76

  • I owe a debt of gratitude to Kirsty; her guidance and encouragement were key to my recovery from major surgery and long-term therapy. The results were astonishing. I feel stronger and more resilient, and even my surgeon was amazed at my progress.”

    JOHN, 65

  • “Despite trying to read about and practice managing stress and menopause symptoms, I was at my wits’ end, dealing with a midlife crisis. Kirsty explored this in depth with me and we made tweaks to my regime that I thought was already healthy. The changes in my weight, energy and mood were really incredible and I didn’t have a sense of missing out but a new perspective!”

    NATASHA, 56
